WPJA....officially accepted!
I just found out this morning that PicturesbyTracy was officially accepted into the Wedding Photojournalist Association! I am so incredibly flattered and excited to have been accepted! According to WPJA, only less than 5% of photographers applying the membership is qualified.
"Leading the way in Wedding Photojournalism, WPJA represents the most discriminating talent around the world technically, creatively and visually. Qualified members hold industry-leading standards, skills and business integrity. IMPORTANT NOTE: Membership in the WPJA depends entirely on photographers meeting our high standards for inclusion. One CANNOT simply pay his/her way into the WPJA.
Thanks for sharing in my celebration!

Project Runway
I loved Rami and Jillian as well...I thought this season was by far the strongest out of the history of Project Runway. Jillian and Rami showed high fashion and wearable designs. I'm sure that will will both go on to be a fashion icons!
Honey, you ARE fierce!!!

Popcorn Buffet
Image: The Knot, Apothecary Jars : English Creek Gardens, Ikea
What is great about this favor idea… is that it gives your guests the option to mix and match their favorite flavors for a mouthful full of taste. Personalize each glass container with a ribbon and tag with the featured popcorn written either by hand or using a computer font that matches the rest of your stationey. This is an idea that is unique and will definetly make your guest talk!

{A good Thing} Fortune Place Card
2. To make the "cookie," cut patterned paper into a circle 5 1/2 inches in diameter (if you like, make a cardboard template using a compass). Roll circle into a loose tube. Overlap ends about 1/2 inch and secure with doublesided tape. Hold the tube so that the top flap is pointing down and facing away from you. Slip a fortune into the tube with the name toward you. Fold the tube inward and secure with double-sided tape.

10,000 Blog Visitors
I can hardly believe it...today my blog hit 10,000 visitors since I put the counter on 6 months ago. So what if 5,000 was my mom {wink-wink}. I see from the map on the site register that people have visited from the four corners of the globe. I’d love to hear from all my blog visitors so please don’t be shy and leave me a comment.
.
Must have pictures with all post so here are some from yesterdays friend & family night at the studio. Congrats Hollie & Joey!

Allure Event Consulting
My friend Natasha with Allure Event is branching out to Ohio....
From Allure's Blog....
When Allure first started, the idea of branching out into other states seemed like such a far off goal. Well today, that goal came into affect, much sooner than I thought it ever would. If you attended the Chattanooga Bridal Show, you may have met one of my assistants, Toya. Toya has been in the event planning field for several years but has always done her work in Ohio and the surrounding states. She came down to help both Allure and Michelle McKibben Photography run the booths, and I can speak for both companies when I say that she was a HUGE help!
After long discussions, doing the numbers and everything else that goes into branching out, I can officially say that Allure now has a satellite office in Ohio with Toya Webb as the manager and head event coordinator. Toya is based out of Dayton but is able to service all of Ohio and the surrounding states. To reach Toya or the Ohio Allure Office, please call 937-554-6938.
