Adoption
Something very special I would like to share…
My friend Shell writes:
It's almost midnight and I really should be getting to sleep. Malia's picture should be here by 10:30 tomorrow. You would think that I would just be bursting with excitement. But today has been a very hard and challenging day. I feel that we are about to experience one of the happiest days of our lives, but we are not going to get there without a battle. This journey has been long, and it's been very hard. But tonight as I was praying for Malia, God brought to my mind the promise He gave to me at the very beginning of this adoption process. I remember I was so scared. And I prayed, "God, if you really want me to do this, please give me something to hold on to." Then I went outside and sat on my porch. I opened my bible and this verse was right there: Isaiah 45:3 "I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord." At that moment, I thought of communist China, where Christians (true believers) are persecuted daily, and what a "dark" place it must be. And how these "little riches" are stored away in the orphanages. And I knew that this was truly a calling from God. And that He was going to see us through this. Tomorrow we will get to finally see the face of the "treasure" He has chosen for us. The emotions I feel right now are beyond words. I feel so humbled and so unworthy.
Dear Shell,
I am continuing to pray for your family as I know this has been a long two years. You have my deepest admiration for embarking on such an amazing journey! Your going to be such wonderful parents, I know this because you have already raised such loving, succesful daughters. Hopefully I will be able to capture the wonderful homecoming very soon! PS: she is beautiful!

Here are a few images from a shoot I did for a friend this summer. Elle is the granddaughter of my friend Terry, she is the sweetest child. Terry surprised her daughter with a slideshow/picture show on Mothers Day! How sweet is that! Anyways I thought I'd share a few pictures...

Lori had me take some pictures of her daughter two years ago, she expressed she wanted to do something really specail for Alley's 1st birthday. I created a DVD set to music with the images, Lori emailed... I just had to let you know that she just loves watching the DVD of pictures and music. Ally continuously says “me, me, me” as she watches it. And, of course as she gets big, I am so grateful that I have this to remember her at that time in her life. Anyway, I just wanted to drop you a line to say Hi and that I still get some much enjoyment from your work. It was worth every penny.
A few months ago she contacted me saying that they are expecting another girl "Camryn" & that they would like to have me come to their home for a session. It was so cool seeing how much Alley had grown up, she's a beauty & so sweet! 
O' my gosh look how sweet! Almost makes me want another one!;)
Haley 2007 Senior
Another beautiful senior from Northeastern...Isn't she GORGEOUS!? This session - like all of them- reminded me (again) of why I love to do senior portraits. Thanks Haley for choosing me to take your pics! I hope you love them!!!
Haley wanted a few pictures with her mom, which I thought that was the sweetest thing. Her mom said “I’m not comfortable in front of the camera but I'd do anything for my daughter". Hopefully I made you feel at ease Lucille! I can only pray that my Payton will ask me to be in her senior pictures someday:0)

What an amazing & emotional wedding I had the pleasure to witness & be apart of. This was by far one of the most touching weddings I’ve photographed. I will never forget this one, not ever.

This is my little guy Skyler with my assistant photographer/friends daughter Lilee. They tell us when they grow up their getting married and having 21 children!!! We say No way, can’t afford that many grandkids” lol
